heyo there from the hot summer on the westcoast. had a lovely set of shows on the islands in the last weeks. lasqueti, island of cookie stands, port alberni, city of salmon, and roberts creek, town of many friends. thanks to all for the hospitality and good audiencing. and the cookies. mmmmm.
in other news, both of the albums (duplex and young saint marie) that were promised for this month are experiencing delays. young saint marie will most likely come out in the fall now, and i think the duplex will be ready in july. we’re all a little relaxed over here these days. but, as a booby prize, theatre replacement is putting out an album of musical theatre songs in early july! titled “Do You Want What I Have Got?”, it contains the craigslist cantata, the songs from yufo, and The Raft of the Medusa. plus, it has cool cover art by my new pal ray fenwick!
oh, and congrats to JC on a successful bid on the doxa camera. i’m chuffed that my project managed to raise such a good price for the festival, and i can’t wait to see how the pictures turned out myself. fingers crossed!
