things that are cheap in berlin: wine, chocolate, meat, and beautiful local clothes ( blutgeswschwister ). i’m just concentrating on these for the moment, i’ll let you know if i run into anything unreasonably expensive. also, yesterday i met the pianos that i will be working on and they are very nice. alex ross’ book The Rest Is Noise continues to inspire.

Enjoy the time, as long as the summer weather still lasts. A book, some chocalate and a bottle of red wine is a good blend.
Any idea if you may come down more to the South, prefered in the Karlsruhe/Stuttgart area? Until now I find only shows far in th eNorth and Northeasst.

We never tried it in the end, but it seems very interesting. Not sure if Anders would enjoy it, though.

oh berlin – i wished i could have spent more time there –
i was going to say that if you get a chance, a field trip to the cassopeia club in friedrichshain is well worth it.. such a strange place – apparently it was an old train station that they turned over to artists… the artwork on the buildings is amazing, but it is going through a very organic process of evolution… i loved it. i did a search through flickr though, and apparently there was a big fire there at the end of august… so the area might not be in the best of condition… but if you get a chance, it is well worth the trip. it is on revelerstraBe behind a fence. it is like this weird little world of its own.
hoffentlich, du und deine Familie haben ein fantasiche Zeit!
