Strange synchronicities: It seems that just as my book about Celine Dion and “good vs bad taste” came out, a bunch of contemporary dancers in London and Berlin were undertaking exactly the same project – in live dance and……

that´s so funny marco, because in stuttgart last night a slightly drunken fellow asked me in the middle of the set “what kind of music is this?” i had to tell him that i didn´t know, that it confused me too. and that i liked it that way.
glad to hear you made it back safe carmen and friends!

Thanks for a great show Veda. Both The Fits and you with the band blew me away. Very brave to sing “Springtime for Hitler” in Germany. But the audience in Berlin seemed to get the fun point. Oh, and also a big thank you for playing “Tuktoyaktuk Hymn”.
Good luck with the rest of the shows and have a great flight back home to Vancouver!

When people ask me what kind of music yours is, I say “it’s art-music”.
I can’t put it any other way. All I know is it’s too beautiful.
Ciao and keep on kicking behinds.

Veda, Riot Life on iTunes is flagged as having “clean lyrics,” which seems to imply that there’s a dirty version somewhere. If I buy the mp3s instead of the CD, am I missing out on titillating profanity?

unless someone has redone the songs without my knowledge, there are no cuss words on this album…let me think, sometimes i use archaic cuss words…but nothing springs to mind. nope, the only thing you miss with the mp3s is the artwork. and something you can chuck at people. does that mean it is up on itunes now? with the extra tunes?

it’s up on emusic now, but no extras there. i will have to cajole meredith to check the itunes since i am resistant to such things.
incidentally, the architect i was trying to remember when we were discussing that susan werner song was mies van der rohe. lyrics are at http://www.pixelopolis.com/lyrics/lyrics_song.php?site_id=1&song_id=133. i’ll try to cook up a mp3 for you sometime….
