Excellent stuff - just as much fun as I guessed it would be - but much more moving with what were surely true stories (whether from cast members or others)about clothes and significant times in life including happy times or stressful times and even the loss of loved ones - times much as we all have - so it was easy to connect - impossible not to in fact. Veda and the music was woven completely into the show - and in the end all the performers were like stars of the show to me - I went out singing 'I Love you Donna Soares' (where is the cast album?! :-). And as promised beforehand there was a small but lovely set of songs from Veda and 2 cast members ie Andrew and Donna (presumably they are the Bike Gang) singing all kinds of things including a lovely version of Soaplands and a jaunty countrified Fits-style version of No Feelings (yep the Sex Pistols one -it took me a while to twig it though). Great stuff ! And it was lovely to meet you Veda and the TR team and be able to tell you how good it all was - I fear I gushed :-) but I did have a great time. So, no doubt saying this here is preaching to the converte,d but if you get a chance to catch this show - or any other Theatre Replacement show - just grab it! Cheers, Sean.
