I really hope that show get a proper release becuase it is such a wonderful performance. Rafael, I have several times found it almost scary not being able to control the way Vedas music affects me. And now that I've got that pathetic attempt at wit out of my system... wow, what a wonderful piece. With all the talk of cannibalism, I wasn't expecting great lashings of Eliot, but the Four Quartets are always very welcome in my world & the "I said to my soul..." section is especially lovely. Much rapturous applause for Veda & her wizard arranger! And the choir of course. And the nice people at CBC. I’m afraid I’m going to have to say that The Raft of the Medusa really floats my boat!

A strong contender for best song of 2008!

I am so mesmerized by Veda’s music at this point, that I wish that all these concerts became an individual album.

By the way, I loved this new version of “The Moon”, with but voice and piano! You’re playing the piano much faster, Veda. It’s more legato during the intro than the first version you released (which was “staccato-ish”).

Singing and playing that one piece at the same time must be very difficult.
