Rafael, I have several times found it almost scary not being able to control the way Vedas music affects me. But of course it isn´t. It´s just fantastic.

Next week will be a riot week! Will I still be an atheist after that? He, he...

Oh, and I listened again today to Vedas Buffy-stuff. I really hope that show get a proper release becuase it is such a wonderful performance.

Well, Per, I have a theory: either Veda is going for complete world ruling / domination or she is trying to make me have a heart attack.

These songs are excellent -- and I am not exagerating. They touch on too many levels to even start describing...!

Can't wait for the album...

Ah, Veda, are your sure you were born on this planet?

"Book Of Saints" sends me anyway away on an orbit aorund my soul. Sorry, there I stole a few words from an Andy P song. But it´s true. Once again am I totally unprepared to be so emotionally moved.

Just absolutely fantastic! I wonder what will happen when the whole album hit my system...

I have the classical version to this piece, so, I know it's voice and piano.

Don't think your rendition is clumsy the least. I love it. I am actually a bit obsessed with it;-).

Take care,

I'm afraid I'm going to have to say that The Raft of the Medusa really floats my boat!

And now that I've got that pathetic attempt at wit out of my system... wow, what a wonderful piece. With all the talk of cannibalism, I wasn't expecting great lashings of Eliot, but the Four Quartets are always very welcome in my world & the "I said to my soul..." section is especially lovely. Much rapturous applause for Veda & her wizard arranger! And the choir of course. And the nice people at CBC.

that is not the famous hymnbook, fran, the famous hymnbook is much more unassuming. that\'s a beautiful old encyclopedia that my photographer had lying around. but the idea is the same. and thanks all, i\'m glad you like Raft. i was pleased with the recording. just to mention again, ford pier wrote the arrangement for the choir.
as for the moon, raff, voice and piano is how it was written. i\'m a bit clumsy on this performance, but not as bad as i feared. r murray schafer was in the audience! i haven\'t listened to that piece yet, but live it was truly stunning.

Per, I agree wholeheartedly.

"The Raft of Medusa" is not even from this planet!

A strong contender for best song of 2008!

I am so mesmerized by Veda's music at this point, that I wish that all these concerts became an individual album.

By the way, I loved this new version of "The Moon", with but voice and piano! You're playing the piano much faster, Veda. It's more legato during the intro than the first version you released (which was "staccato-ish").

Singing and playing that one piece at the same time must be very difficult.

Awesome stuff there! Thanks as always!

Listetning? Where did I get that word from? It doesn´t even mean anything in Swenglish! Alright, I just wanted to say that "The Raft of the Medusa" is a beautiful piece of music. Cool also to hear "This Spring" but I actually avoid listening (!) too much to the tracks that will be on "The Riot Life". I´m afraid it can take away an important part of the experience when getting into a new album...
