I'd like to expand my thesis by proposing The Two Theories Of Shirtlessness:

1) Recent footage of the unbandaging of Tutankhamun has triggered a Pharaoh / Joseph scenario in which the Technicolour Dreamcoat is discarded, thus exposing the Osmond torso. It may also explain this facile attempt to interpret your dreams. I don't suppose you noticed seven cows milling around the dentist's surgery or some tatty ears of corn in the background? Any dream will do.

2) You are re-living your formative years as a wee lassie in the 1970's, during which you were the archetypal hormonal screamer. We may be grateful for the braces in your dream (at least, the ones from which the Osmond breeches are suspended). Any hint of a cover of Andy Stewart's "Donny where's your troosers?" on forthcoming tour dates, and we may be forced to draw our own conclusions.

Isn't that too Lacanian / Freudian an interpretation?

Veda strikes me rather like a Jungian type of person.

Not a rule, but teeth, sometimes, have to do with the 'persona' (from Greek, 'mask'). Being a musician and all, the mouth, and the teeth are part of how she presents herself to others.

The fact it was a reality show with Donny Osmond, in particular, reinforces even more the idea that it has to do with how Veda's persona.

Alas, what braces serve for, if not to cover part of our external self?

Was it a good or a bad feeling, Veda?

You maybe (indeed, hopefully, for the sake of your patience and sanity) don't get to see it over there in Canadia, but Donny hosts a truly rotten game show that airs just before The Simpsons on British television. In it, a member of the general public has to guess the vocations of other members of the general public.

In order to spice it up, the pregnant pause is taken to new heights of pregnancy and Donny has a catch phrase: "Is.... that.... your........... I...dentity?"

Maybe you've actually seen it and your subconscious soul has scrambled the phrase into "I..... did..... that..... (your..... dentistry)".
