ah yes, mr slim roamed his way right out of our life. so this is nucat. also known as nunji and/or fatties. he’s kinda slowmoving but i wouldn’t say lazy. i mean, he sleeps 70% of the time but who wouldn’t if given the chance?

When I was younger, a cat moved from two houses away into our home (even though we had two dogs who hated cats), and there was nothing on Earth that would make him move back. It was funny. The dogs had to cope with him (he couldn’t care less about them).
On to the music news: YAY!!!! Can’t wait to see your Glenn Gould comission!! It will rock, I am sure!
I will have to listen to André Laplante’s rendition of Prokofiev’s Sonata nr. 7, as well. The 3rd movement is so insane and avant-garde! It’s possibly my favourite classical piece. Glenn also performed it… it’s available on you tube (2nd and 3rd movements): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Glie-AyCA_Y .

Veda, will your song be on CBC on demand? I hope so. I missed it:-(.
On a brighter note, look at what I found:

Gotta say this is one of the best renditions of the Sonata ever.

Nuit Blech: Call It a Sophomore Slump…
Computer snafus have kept Zoilus at a lower boil than intended the past week, but tons of action is to come this week - concerts in Toronto with Pere Ubu and Veda Hille, and then off to Pop Montreal…….

…which I’m happy to see ’cause I missed the broadcast too, and also because this needs repeated listens to appreciate its complexities. Love it, Veda! Very elegant.

Veda sings and plays the piano on a few tracks (Anthony’s Summer and Dance Hall, for example).
“Anthony’s Summer” is a very nice track. Possibly, my fave.

Actually, she plays on all tracks, Rafael
I had the pleasure of attending this concert in Vancouver last winter. Kim Barlow has a beautiful voice.
